How I got here

I am a very visual person, lucky enough to have turned that trait into a career, specifically as a visual designer. Even more specifically, focused on design systems.

/My design journey

I used to say that design is like a puzzle… but nowadays I see it more as a way to understand the reason behind every single pixel. Anyhow, I suppose both still rely on what I consider one of the best experiences in life: the not so common "click/eureka moment."

  1. Graphic

    First

When I started my career as a graphic designer, I wanted to try everything – and that's exactly what I did. I explored all areas of design, from printing to advertisement, passing through motion graphics and branding. As a starting point, it helped me to develop a wide range of abilities and enhance my knowledge of the available resources, shortcuts and possibilities. This soon led me to make some important choices.

  2. UX/UI

    Then

The more I explored, the more I realised I was a problem solver. It is true to say that most areas of design, if not all, try to solve a problem, but the king of the kings at this would be UX. I couldn't resist embracing it as my new path in design. Understanding what, why and how drives me to solve the different puzzles.

  3. Design systems

    Now

The more you know about design, the more you want to understand what it really feels like… and that’s when you find design systems. They are the key holders of the deepest secrets of any product, and once you open that door you will want to commit to consistency across everything you build — and to understanding the reason behind it.

Other bits that found their way to make me…

and as you probably already noticed…

Looking forward to keep learning that with design you have to expect the unexpected
